Mostly Syrah, with added Carignan, Massiac 'Sentinelle' has terrific notes of black raspberry and black currant, with classic savory notes of herbs de Provence, pepper, and spice. Lots of layered and nuanced flavor for this price. Chateau Massiac was built in the 17th century, in what is now the Languedoc's appellation of Minervois.
