The twin of this stunning blue crushed velvet maxi dress by Oscar de la Renta is held in the Goldstein Museum of Design (the last photo is their collection archive photo) and they have this dated as being from the 1960-1965 period

but this one is a very fine ribbed velvet corduroy

Waist: very adjustable and open if you need it larger
