It is made out of a very fine silk gazaar that is layered over an inner silk lining in a matching colour

The cut is skinny and fitted

It has the appearance of a wrap through the draped skirt that curves up to show a bit of leg

It has an interlining of silk organza that helps to retail the fullness and the rounded soft pleats that are set into the seam at the hip help as well

It has a small neat collar with an elaborate silk tie

This style of dress is one of her most well known dresses and it has been one of her most loved styles since it was first created in 1968. The Thea Porter book that accompanied the 2015 Fashion and Textile Museum exhibit "Thea Porter 70s Bohemian Chic" (for which over a dozen pieces were pulled from my archives)
