These early label Cardin Creation pieces came straight out of the Cardin Atelier and were bound for the US market

It is two separate pieces - the inner dress cannot be worn really with out the shell - the little silk top is more like lining than a true dress

It otherwise appears unworn and I suspect it was hung on a too short rod for many years

From the waist up it closes with a series of hand covered fabric buttons and snaps

It slips on to wear and the ties wrap as you wish

It is instantly recognizable and this one is in what looks to be dead stock condition. It still has a paper tag along the seam with the scribbled name of the person who would have sewn it together! I love the high signature shoulders and the skinny cut. The sequins cover every inch and are a glossy deep green. It is amazing and special!
