Giltwood French Louis XIV Style Console Bedside Tables making the desk equally strikingThe hand carved console, designed to sit against a wall, showcases beautiful fine carving across its shapely form. It features classical, period motifs, including acanthus leaves, tressaille work and a stylised fleur de lys at the centre front. The piece as been finished with hand applied, textured and aged gilt work, subtly revealing layers of deep red gesso beneath. This detailing adds warmth and depth to the patination. Topping the console is a
