The holder measures 2 7/8" long and the case is 4 1/2" long

It is in good condition overall with only minor wear and a few spots of tarnishing

Both the lid and body are marked "jsd 42". The owner appears to be " Obl. Karl Steinbeisser 13 III 207". All in all, this is a great example.
