The letter i in lurik means small or dainty in Javanese, informing how the stripes in lurik fabric are traditionally less than one centimetre wide. Unfortunately, the myriad of stories behind the designs of lurik has been eroded by modernity as time goes by. This series is meant to reintroduce this priceless tradition into our modern day living. Jendela Kota is woven
