2023 Sciara – 980 Metri – Etna Rosso – DOC Nerello Cappuccio based on the desire toA blend of Nerello Mascalese from three contrada, Monte Dolce, Carrana and Barbabecchi, planted in volcanic sand between 900 and 1,000 metres on Mount Etna. Each site brings something different: Monte Dolce a mineral edge, Carrana power, Barbabecchi restraint. Fermented with wild yeast and aged in a mix of barrel and fibreglass. Bright and structured, with red cherry, dried herbs and a grippy, almost Barolo like tannic backbone. Fine detail and real
