2014 Gevrey-Chambertin, Clos Saint-Jacques, 1er Cru, Domaine Sylvie Esmonin, Burgundy Women in Wine followed by hints of SichuanThe 2014 Gevrey Chambertin Clos Saint Jacques 1er Cru has a very attractive, delineated bouquet with pure black cherries, orange rind, crushed stone and sous bois scents. It's very classy. The palate is medium bodied with fine tannins, good body and depth and certainly less austere than many of its peers on the finish.
