US FS #84 The pigskin leather is ink

The pigskin leather is ink marked as size 59 (59cm head size) with a correct draw string

this finish was stripped bare and remains in an unpainted finish

It is retained with two rivets and the emblem of the Imperial Japanese Navy at the front

US FS #84 The pigskin leather is inkUS FS #84 The shell is an original WWII McCord Radiator with a front seam, stainless steel band and swivel bales. The heat stamp is 1017A. The outer retains 75 80% of its original factory paint and texture. The inner was a bit daggy; it was stripped to bare metal, primed and painted in olive drab mainly to protect the cover and liner. There is no rust. A new OD3 chinstrap set has been fitted. The liner is an original WW2 high pressure type
